Mission Statement

The mission of the Budget Office is to provide financial management through planning, oversight and reporting to support the overall mission of the Health Sciences Center.

Function Statements


The functions of the Budget Office include:

  • Prepare the biennial Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR)
  • Develop and administer the annual Operating Budget
  • Update and manage the Texas Tech Budget System for reporting accuracy
  • Prepare reports as required by various state agencies and HSC administration
  • Analyze legislation relating to higher education issues
  • Maintain all apointment and financial data related to salaried employees
