Awards/Certifications:

Reel holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice audiology in Texas.

Biography:

Reel is an assistant professor of audiology in the School of Allied Health Sciences in Lubbock.

  Research Interests   -Selective auditory attention, including interactive effects of a listener's native language rhythmic structure and the rhythmic structure of the language of the competing speech
-Effects of other listener and competing signal characteristics on selective auditory attention
-Effects of second language exposure on auditory development and performance among monolingual and bilingual listeners
-Classroom acoustics
-Effects of classroom soundfield amplification on listening and learning among children with normal hearing
