Employment Services Process - New Positions and Vacancies
- Submit Job Requisition and PDQ to HR

HR will review and secure signatures from Dean's Office
* New Positions will be faxed to Lubbock HR for approval
* Approval letter will be sent to requesting department by HR El Paso (recruitment can now begin)
- Hiring Department will submit template online at http://jobs.texastech.edu/hr and forward to "Dept HSC" for HR review and posting

Position will be posted for 10 straight days
* Interviews can begin immediately, however, job offer cannot be made until position is closed
* Department will be responsible for verifying credentials and references for prospective employee

Department will notify HR of selection by filling out the request for background check via email at http://www.ttuhsc.edu/hr/sforms/background.aspx
* HR will submit request to HireRight for processing.
- HR will secure an appointment with perspective applicant for a pre-employment physical
- HR will notify hiring department of results and secure a start date for employee

HR will schedule employee to attend a mandatory New Employee Orientation (1st & 3rd Monday of every month)
* If employee should start on a Non-NEO date, department needs to send employee to HR on the first day of employment for initial paperwork

Personnel Action Form (PAF) should be generated by hiring department at minimum 3 days prior to employment
* Attach a copy of signed application and social security card
- HR will match PAF with employee paperwork and submit to Lubbock HR for processing
