High School kids paintingjoin today gifThe Double T Health Service Corps is a registered student organization at the Health Sciences Center and is one-year old at Texas Tech University. The Health Service Corps offers all Red Raider students, faculty and staff the opportunity to become actively involved in improving the health and wellbeing of their community. An important component of the organization is the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary service activities that benefit underserved communities and people across West Texas.Kids taking a blood pressure check

Membership in the Health Service Corps is open to all anyone at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Texas Tech University who is interested in serving their community. The focus of the Health Service Corps is to support students' service activities in communities and to provide opportunities for students to develop community service projects that have a real impact.

For students, the Health Service Corps also offers a valuable opportunity to interact with others that share your same service, community and career interests; to gain leadership experience, professional development, and communication skills.

The Service Leadership Team for the Corps has identified four priority areas for members to develop projects that improve community health:

Whether you want to get involved with helping a specific community organization or develop a new community project from start to finish—the Double T Health Service Corps is the place to get involved. For more information, email Loni Flores.
