Corrections to 'Ace the Boards in Biochemistry,' Pelley, 1997

The following are the major corrections that have come to my attention for  "Mosby's Ace the Boards in Biochemistry," (ISBN 0-8151-8652-5) by J.W. Pelley.

Page 3: H2O <-> H + OH- …change to… H2O <-> H++ OH-

Page 4: In Box 1.2:
     R-COO + H+ …change to… R-COO¯ + H+
     R-NH3+ R-NH3+....change to....  

Page 11: Table 2.3 has an error in the structure of arginine. the side chain should be CH2-CH2-CH2-NH-C(-NH2)=NH2+

Page 12: In Fig. 2.2 the 2- should be 2e- also Hasselbalch in the sidebar is misspelled

Page 19: "Fibrous vs. globular proteins"...change to..."Fibrous proteins;" on same page "Denaturation" is a major heading, not a subheading.

Page 31: Noncompetitive inhibitors "raise" the Vmax...change to...Noncompetitive inhibitors "lower" the Vmax...

Page 33: arrangement and change distribution …change to… arrangement and charge distribution…; also in Fig 3.10 the y axis label should be Velocity of product formation
