The mission of the Office of Academic Affairs is to provide leadership and service to students and faculty in their roles as members of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s community. The Vice President of Academic Affairs supervises the activities of student services/affairs, registrar, financial aid, library, classroom support, and institutional planning and assessment. The office promotes and ensures academic quality at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and encourages the efficient use of resources to achieve that end. It does so by developing and administering programs, policies and procedures relative to academic affairs that advance the academic missions of the institution.
The Office of Institutional Planning and Assessment supports the achievement of the TTUHSC's mission by coordinating and facilitating ongoing, systematic, institution-wide planning and assessment.
Student Services is an institutional centralized information office that provides an array of student support services.
The Office of Financial Aid is committed to excellence and our staff is here to serve current and future students.
The Office of the Registrar also supports and strives to meet the needs of prospective students, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni by providing academic information regarding the various schools and disciplines of the HSC.
Classroom Support provides classroom scheduling and support for academic classes, resident training and faculty/staff meetings at TTUHSC in Lubbock and regional campuses.
The central administration of the libraries is located in the Preston Smith Library of the Health Sciences in Lubbock. Public services and library collections, however, are dispersed among the four Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center campuses in Lubbock, Amarillo, El Paso and Odessa.
