Community Medical School 11/19/2013
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is pleased to announce the second session of the Community Medical School (CMS). Join us on November 19, 2013 to learn more about APRNS. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Emily Merrill. She will be speaking on “What are Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and how can they impact your health?” We will also have guest panelists including a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, a Nurse from the Midwifery program, and a Nurse from the Burn Center.
We also plan to have a School of Nursing recruitment booth and offer medical screenings (such as blood pressure, glucose and BMI). The Larry Combest Wellness Center and Senior House Calls will also be on sight.
A tour of the SimLife Center will be available immediately following the presentation for anyone that would like to participate.
CMS is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of background or experience and there is no cost for this class. Stop by the registration table on November 19 to check-in and pick up your class materials. Our booths will open at 5:30-6:00pm, so grab a snack and visit with our vendors before the 6:00pm presentation.
We hope you will join us for our second session of CMS. If you have questions, feel free to call 806-743-2008 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We love hearing from you!
Community Medical School would not be possible without YOU.
Note: All Community Medical School Classes are held at TTUHSC / Academic Classroom Building, Room #100.
