Dr. Johnson will present "Human-Companion Animal Interaction and Health Promotion for Both Ends of the Leash." Her abstract, “The Notion of One Health/One Medicine,” will be discussed, drawing examples from completed and current projects at the University of Missouri. It will be argued the concept of “one health” should be expanded to include health promotion, and not exclusively the study of disease.
