Save the Date! 2012 Fall Symposium: Interprofessional Teamwork
Dear TTUHSC faculty, students and staff,
We are pleased to announce the 2012 Fall Symposium: Interprofessional Teamwork on October 26. The keynote presentation "Interprofessional Teamwork in Simulation" will be presented by Jennifer Arnold, M.D., MSc, FAAP.
About Jennifer Arnold, M.D., MSc, FAAP
Dr. Arnold is currently the medical director of the Simulation Center at Texas Children’s Hospital and is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Together with her husband Bill Arnold, Dr. Arnold leads an interesting — and uniquely public — private life. She co-stars on TLC’s docu-drama, "The Little Couple," which follows the Arnold’s personal and professional lives.
As a reminder:
• Attendance at the entire symposium is not required
• The morning session is designed for faculty, students and staff
• The afternoon session is designed for students.
Call for Poster Presentations from TTUHSC faculty, students and staff:
Do you have an interprofessional teamwork course activity, service-learning project or research activity (in progress or completed), you would like to share? If so, we invite you to participate in the Fall Symposium by presenting your interprofessional teamwork project during the poster session at noon in Lubbock.
We will have single-sided poster display stands available for your individual poster. These stands will be in the ACB hallway on the first floor east of ACB 150. We ask that at least one person from your project or study be available at noon on the day of the symposium to brief conference attendees on your poster.
If you are interested in presenting your interprofessional teamwork course activity, service-learning project or research activity at the 2012 Fall Symposium, please submit a half-page abstract or description of your project by Aug.20 to Dr. Sharon Decker, sharon.decker@ttuhsc.edu.
