Could You Have Skin Cancer?

Texas Tech Physicians — Dermatology and UMC Southwest Cancer Center will host a free skin cancer screening from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 11 at the Southwest Cancer and Research Center, 602 Indiana Ave. in Lubbock.

According to the National Cancer Institute, skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the U.S. About 1 million Americans develop skin cancer each year.

Skin examinations and referrals for subsequent treatment also will be provided.
