Data Center Recovery Update
While most services appear to be functioning normally we have a few issues which require additional maintenance. Most of the remaining issues will go unnoticed by casual users with the following exceptions.
The SharePoint server has been operational during business hours, but received significant damage which has required multiple after hours system outage periods for engineers to replace affected components. Another maintenance window has been scheduled for SharePoint maintenance June 13 5:00pm-9:00pm CT.
All Staff and Faculty should plan their SharePoint usage accordingly to avoid the published maintenance windows as SharePoint will be unavailable.
TTUHSC Email Services:
The majority of services have been recovered, however due to hardware loss customers may encounter the following performance issues:
· Approximately half of our institutional Exchange servers were lost which increased the load placed on our remaining servers. Although no issues have been reported, users may experience sporadic slowness or delayed email functionality until replacement servers are delivered and installed.
· An email index database was lost. As a result, the search feature within Outlook Web App (OWA) is not functional. The search function remains available in the Outlook Client. Customers needing the search function should use the Outlook client until the index service is restored. There is no ETR available for these issues at this time.
