The Office of International Affairs (OIA) invites you to attend an ongoing lecture series on issues impacting global health. Invited guest speakers will share their personal stories and experiences. Everyone is invited to attend. Free lunch will be provided to the first 30 attendees (Lubbock campus only!)

Vera von Bergen, a TTUHSC School of Medicine fourth year student, recently participated in a four-week international health elective under a bilateral exchange agreement at King George Medical University and Queen Mary Hospital, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Please join us as she discusses her experience working with residents in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the knowledge she gained from her attendance at the Indian Society of Perinatology & Reproductive Biology (ISOPARB) Conference in March 2013. Vera will also cover general statistics from India regarding women’s and children’s health, as well as information on gender selection, septic abortion, genital Tuberculosis, and other unique case presentations that she encountered.
Free lunch will be provided to the first 30 attendees!
This presentation will not be linked to the additional TTUHSC campuses; however, it will be recorded for future viewing on the OIA website.
