International Health and MEDEVAC Insurance
For the safety of its students, TTUHSC requires that all students participating in a TTUHSC sponsored international program or activity have emergency medical evacuation & repatriation of remains insurance coverage in addition to health and accident coverage.
To ensure uniform coverage, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) has contracted with HTH Worldwide for insurance that meets the necessary requirements. This coverage extends to all students participating in a TTUHSC sponsored international program or activity. Faculty and staff traveling abroad on TTUHSC business may also purchase insurance through HTH.
HTH Worldwide is a leader in providing comprehensive coverage to students around the globe. Their network of program providers, emergency evacuation processes, and other services make this a valuable tool in our effort to provide the safest program environment possible for our students.
To purchase insurance, you must contact OIA. We will process your insurance request and can provide information regarding current rates. Once your request has been processed, you will receive an insurance card from OIA. Using your assigned ID number, you will be able to log into hthstudents.com to access their services.
Through hthstudents.com participants can:
- download claims forms
- check the status of a pending claim
- search for a doctor in the US or overseas
- use the medical drug, term, and phrase translation guides
- read important health and security news
- view health and security profiles for cities worldwide
All HTH Worldwide insurance plans include convenient access to HTH’s Global Health and Safety Services online and via handheld mobile devices. Members can use HTH Worldwide’s mPassport service to translate medical terms, phrases and brand-name medications right from their handheld mobile device. mPassport also assists in finding emergency services and qualified doctors all around the world.
