Enrollment Growth: The overall five-year enrollment growth was 27.82 percent (2,272 in fall 2004 to 2,906 in fall 2008).

Minority Enrollment: The five-year enrollment growth of affected minorities (Black, Hispanic and American Indian) was 45.71 percent (361 in fall 2004 to 526 in fall 2008).

Service area: TTUHSC serves the health care needs of more than 2.6 million people living in a 108-county area stretching from the Texas Panhandle south to the Permian Basin and west to Eastern New Mexico.

School of Nursing: the TTUHSC School of Nursing has been providing quality educational programs and advance excellence in health care for diverse populations for more than 25 years.

TTUHSC School of Medicine: The School of Medicine in 2009 celebrated its 40th anniversary of providing quality patient care, research and education to West Texas.

Paul L. Foster School of Medicine: Located in El Paso, the Foster School of Medicine is the only four-year medical school on the United States-Mexico border. It is the first school of medicine in Texas in 30 years.

School Allied Health Sciences: The first School of Allied Health Sciences class at TTUHSC began in 1983. The school is now one of the largest schools of allied health sciences in Texas.

School of Pharmacy: The TTUHSC School of Pharmacy accepted its first class in 1996. The school was among the first to offer the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and require a clinical rotation in geriatrics.

Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences: The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences awarded its first master of science degree in 1975, and its first doctoral degree in 1978. Students in this graduate program come to TTUSHC from all over the world.
