2017 CTNT Symposium

Save the Date:  2nd Annual Symposium  - April 27, 2017

It is with great pleasure, the Center of Excellence for Translational Neuroscience and Therapeutics (CTNT) wishes to announce the date for the 2nd Annual CTNT Symposium.  This one day event will take place on Thursday, April 27th on the Lubbock Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center campus.  The event will be a day of science with key note speaker and Alexander D. Kenny recipient, Dr. Robert W. Gereau from Washington University in St. Louis.  There will also be various presentations from center members.  To view the event flyer please click here.

Last year's inaugural meeting was a great success!  The event included CTNT collaborative research presentations, a keynote lecture and a poster session.  To view information from last year's event please visit: 

To register for this year's event please scroll to the bottom this page and complete the form.  There is no registration fee for this event.



  • Topic: Translational research in its broadest sense encompassing basic science or clinical research that may be useful and important for clinically relevant disorders and dysfunctions. Any research actually or potentially related to the focus of the Center on nervous system function, disorders and therapeutics is welcome.

  • Format: Word document, font size >11pt, not to exceed 1 page; must include title, authors' names and affiliation (TTUHSC/TTU, School, Department/Program, address)
  • Abstracts will be peer reviewed
  • Poster awards will be given
  • Competition is open to all trainees (basic science and clinical) at TTUHSC and TTU
  • Abstracts and posters from recent local or national meetings (academic year 2017-17) such as Student Research Week may be resubmitted.
