Western Refining Donates Half a Million to Four-Year Medical School

Western Refining donated $500,000 to Texas Tech El Paso School of Medicine for its four-year medical school campaign. Phase I of the school’s expansion is currently under construction at Alameda and Concepcion.
Western Refining is an El Paso-based company with a production capacity of 107,000 barrels per day. Western Refining supplies fuel to El Paso, Juarez, Tucson, Phoenix, Albuquerque, and other southwestern cities.
Presently, approximately 350 employees work at the refinery and terminal, and it employs an additional 300 contract employees. As one of the largest taxpayers in El Paso, Western Refining supports many important public services. These include education, health, public safety, and improvements to city and county infrastructures.
