| Electronic Medical Records (EMR) |

TTUHSC in partnership with GE is in the process of implementing a new Electronic Medical Records System. The goals and objectives for this impementation are: improve patient care and safety, physician access to information, physician satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and communication by making records available to multiple people simultaneously. Centricity EMR will be implemented in all TTUHSC's departments and facilities across the El Paso area.

TTUHSC El Paso recognizes the benefits of centralizing electronic PHI to improve care, reduce costs and improve efficiency. An assessment was conducted in all TTUHSC's El Paso Clinics to evaluate their existing modalities and storage needs. Based upon the results, the Clinical Leadership Team decided to support the implementation of a solution that will serve as a central image repository and that will best serve TTUHSC's needs and requirements. IW PACS will be implemented in all TTUHSC's El Paso Clinics and will be integrated with the EMR System.
