Chancellor David R. Smith Visits El Paso Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Campus

Texas Tech University Chancellor David R. Smith and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center President M. Roy Wilson visited El Paso on Nov. 5 to meet with community and legislative officials about the upcoming legislative session. The emphasis for the visit was to stress the importance of obtaining additional state funding for Texas Tech University System and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center programs.
Smith and Wilson toured the Health Sciences Center and then met with the editorial board at the El Paso Times. They also attended a reception and luncheon held at the El Paso Club for members of the Chancellor’s Council and invited guests.
