Eleven Physicians Named to "Best Doctors" List
Eleven Texas Tech El Paso School of Medicine physicians made the list of El Paso's Best Doctors. Best Doctors Inc. is a list derived from a national poll of more than 30,000 physicians in 40 different specialty areas. The list is then pared down to local doctors who were recommended by their peers.
The doctors chosen were:
- Mary Spalding, M.D., associate professor and regional chairman, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
- Marc Zuckerman, M.D., professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology.
- W. Lee Hand, M.D., associate professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease Division.
- Robert W. Vera, M.D., assistant professor, Department of OB/GYN.
- Gilbert Handal, M.D., associate professor and Regional Chairman, Department of Pediatrics.
- Merle A. Ipson, M.D., assistant professor, Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology Division.
- C. Antonio Jesurun, M.D., professor, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology.
- Garrett S. Levin, M.D., associate professor, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology.
- Jeffrey D. Schuster, M.D., assistant professor, Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology.
- Edward Saltzstein, M.D., professor, University Breast Care Center.
