Doc for a Day
Students in high school compete for an opportunity to shadow a physician in his or her rounds for a day. the student will have the opportunity to speak with third year students in order to get a more ground floor feeling of what medical school is all about.
There will be 5 to 6 sessions per year with approximately ten students per session.
To qualify, a student must submit a 200 word essay detailing why he or she wishes to become a doctor. Student also submits an application with the essay.
This opportunity is open to all high school students in the Greater El Paso area.
