Dr. Stanislaus Ting, Clinical Professor of Pediatrics is a part time Faculty at Texas Tech University HSC El Paso. In the year 2001, he introduced and published the first User-friendly and pragmatic asthma tools known as MSAGR (Multi-colored Simplified Asthma Guideline Reminder), for clinicians in the trenches. During the past seven years, over one million copies of MSAGR have been disseminated to clinicians around the world. Similarly, copyright permission (Gratis), has been granted to various countries to translate & modify MSAGR according to individual country�s resources. In collaboration with El Paso anti-smoking coalition (2002), Dr. Ting used MSAGR to exemplify the ill effect of cigarette smokes on asthmatics and persuaded El Paso City council to implement one of the strongest smoke-free indoor air ordinances in the country.
He also maintains a part-time private practice in Las Cruces since 1986 and started a clinic for the working poor and homeless in 1991. He received 2004 New Mexico Medical Society Medical Service Award and 2006 AMA-leadership award for his global humanitarian effort and asthma educating endeavor by providing the first pragmatic clinical asthma tools MSAGR (Gratis), to clinicians around the world.
