James R. Loflin, M.D.

Dr. James ‘Randy’ Loflin is a 1990 graduate of our residency program. He decided to continue his career as a faculty member with the department after graduation, progressing from a position as an Instructor to his present position as an Associate Professor and Medical Director of the Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Loflin is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and holds memberships in the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP); the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM); the National Association of Emergency Medical Service Physicians (NAEMSP); the Wilderness Medical Society; the U.S. Metropolitan Medical Directors' Consortium, and the Emergency Medical Service Physicians of Texas. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians.
