Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, El Paso invites you to apply for the SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM - 2006. It will be held on the Texas Tech Campus, 4800 Alberta Street. There will be three phases as described below with the objective of providing course work that will put the student on the cutting edge of the sciences required to pursue a career in medicine. Also included is course work on Critical Thinking, Writing Skills, and Problem Solving.
PHASE I and II Begins on May 15 and ends on June 10 and be limited to a class size of ten (10) students in each phase. Class hours are 7AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Friday. A Campus Shadowing Experience and Simulation Laboratory Time will be included. A stipend of $1,200 (Phase I) and $1,500 (Phase II) will be paid at the completion of the course if all course objectives are met. A GPA of <3.2 is required and a minimum of 30 earned credit hours (Phase I) and 60 earned credit hours (Phase II).
PHASE III Course begins on June 12 and ends on July 14 and will be limited to 10 students. A stipend of $1,800 will be paid upon satisfactory completion of course requirements. GPA is <3.5 with 90 earned credit hours.
