Outreach

Community Partnership Clinics: In the past, the Office of Border Health has been an active participant in the Community Partnership Clinics located in the communities of Fabens, Montana Vista, San Elizario, and Socorro. These clinics are operated in cooperation with the College of Health Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso. The clinics are staffed by faculty physicians, nurse practitioners, support staff and other health professionals. The clinics operate daily during the regular workweek and provide a wide range of preventive and primary health care services. The clinics are an important teaching venue for several disciplines. In recent years, the medical administration of the clinics has been assumed by the Department of Family Medicine in El Paso, but the Office of Border Health and the HCOE continue to support these programs and to utilize them for many of their educational and outreach activities.
