Celebrate Life Annual Fundraising Event

In 1993, the El Paso community joined together to organize an event that would raise money to support the University Breast Care Center initiative, including a Mobile Mammography Van.

In an effort to perpetuate this experience, the UBCC Advisory Committee was formed. "Together We Can Make a Difference" has been the philosophy of the committee, that consists of various El Paso community oriented women. Their hard work and effort has been the driving force for each successful event.

The popularity of Celebrate Life has grown rapidly in El Paso with many sponsors. Since 1999 the event has drawn an attendance of over 1000.

The Celebrate Life event is held each October, during National Breast Cancer Awareness month. A fashion show is held in conjunction with the luncheon event. Breast Cancer Survivors participate as models and serve as an inspiration to all in attendance. Texas Tech Faculty also serve as models making the event complete. There is entertainment and raffles provided through generous donations by the El Paso community.

We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of our supporters for contributing to the success of the Celebrate Life event.
