RN to MSN Leadership in Nursing Education
Application Requirements and Deadlines

Consideration for admission is only given to applicants who meet all admissions criteria and have submitted all admissions requirements by the application deadline to the TTUHSC Registrar's Office, School of Nursing Admissions, 3601 4th Street, Stop 8310, Lubbock, Texas 79430.

Completed applications are forwarded to the Department Chair and Gradute Program Committee for consideration. Each applicant considered for admission is notified in writing of the admission decision.

Tips for successful application to the MSN Program

A complete application includes the following submissions to the Registrar's Office:
  • Application
  • Signature page; application fee
  • Essay
  • Verification of completion of general education requirements (55-58)
  • Official transcripts from all universities or colleges attended
  • References (3)
  • Oath of Residency
  • Verification of Texas RN License
  • BLS certification
  • Appropriate documentation, i.e. TOEFL score, if an international student
Application Information

Application deadline for Fall is May 1 and September 1 for Spring.

Although the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing is a part of the Texas Tech University System, legally it is a separate institution from Texas Tech University, therefore; application for admission must be made directly to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
