Option One - FAFSA on the Web
- FAFSA on the Web
- FAFSA on the Web is the fastest way to apply for student financial aid. If you applied last year you may be able to complete a Renewal FAFSA on-line. You must have a PIN to file an on-line Renewal FAFSA or to make on-line corrections. Request one at the PIN site.
- Before you begin, remember: Texas Tech University is not Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. If your plans include transferring to TTUHSC from TTU, you will need to complete the TTUHSC financial aid requirements.
- Do you need copies of the 2005 IRS 1040's? Call 1.800.829.1040 and request letter 1722. If you need assistance - use the step-by-step guides to completing the FAFSA.

Option Two - Paper-based FAFSA
- Paper-based FAFSA
- Traditional pen-and-paper forms are available for those with computers that cannot support an electronic FAFSA, or who would rather not submit their forms electronically.
- To receive a paper copy by mail, call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1.800.4.FED.AID (1.800.433.3243) / TDD 1.800.730.8913. If you are unable to dial the toll-free number from your area, an alternate number is 1.319.337.5665.
