The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) constitutes the basic financial aid application and is required if you wish to be considered for all federal, state or university financial aid and scholarships. Many funds are limited and awarded on a "first come-first served" basis. By submitting the FAFSA you will automatically be considered for federal loans, and federal, state, and institutional grants.
Please note the following information when submitting your FAFSA.
- The TTUHSC federal school code is 016024.
- Beginning with the 2012-2013 FAFSA students will now be required to use the IRS Data Retreival Tool to enter tax information .
- You must have a PIN to electronically sign your FAFSA, and to make on-line corrections. Request a PIN
- Please remember: Texas Tech University is not Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. If your plans include transferring to TTUHSC from TTU, you will need to complete the TTUHSC financial aid requirements.
