CA-1

This 4 weeks rotation in regional anesthesia is designed for CA-1 anesthesiology residents as an introductory course to the indications technique, contraindications and management of regional anesthesia.
The purpose of this introductory regional anesthesia rotation is to provide in depth training in regional anesthesia to the anesthesia residents in the program at TT UHSC.
The learning objectives encompass the six Core Competencies and include in depth training in the theory and techniques of regional anesthesia and pain management with regional anesthesia.

CA-3

This 8-week rotation for CA-3 residents in anesthesiology builds on their knowledge on acute pain management gained during the acute pain management rotation in year CA-2 and/or regional anesthesia rotation CA-1.
The residents are expected to increase their degree of autonomy throughout the rotations in second and third year, to finally achieve skills for acute pain management for independent anesthesiology practice.
