Loretta Flores, MBA
As Director, Ms Flores reports directly to the Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean for the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine and serves as the liaison between the Vice President and other members of senior leadership and other institutional executives. In addition to managing the daily activities of the Vice President's/Founding Dean's office, she provides administrative oversight and supervision of a wide spectrum of operations and related budgets on behalf of the campus. Ms Flores is a native El Pasoan with twenty years of dedicated service to TTUHSC at El Paso. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and received her Master's in Business Administration/Business Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. She remains an active member of the national Dean's Assistant Group, for which she has served as Chair, and continues to participate in various charitable organizations in the El Paso community. She attributes her passion in everything she does to her husband and her two children.
Vanessa Solis, MBA
Vanessa Solis serves as the Executive Associate to the Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean. In her role, she provides total support to Vice President and Founding Dean, which is vast in responsibility. She also assists with the daily operations of the Vice President. Vanessa has been with Texas Tech for a total of ten years, working for a Fortune 100 company as an operations manager for four years prior to returning to Texas Tech in 2010. Vanessa is a native El Pasoan and proud graduate of Loretto Academy. Her academic accomplishments include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Computer Information Systems concentration and Master's in Business Administration (MBA) in Health Systems from the University of Texas at El Paso. Vanessa is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University. She is an active member of the national Dean's Assistant Group, as well as a member of the United Way Young Leaders Society and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. The joy of her life is spending time with her two year old daughter, Aliyah.
Ms Veronica Salazar serves as the Unit Coordinator for the Office of the Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean. She has over 14 years of administrative experience and is tasked with ensuring daily operations are executed in a timely manner and the front office runs efficiently. Ms Salazar also assists with the expediting and execution of important documents viable to the institution and plays a major role in the faculty recruitment process, where she serves as the point of contact for newly hired senior level personnel transitioning to the campus; a vast responsibility that includes multiple steps for a seamless and smooth experience. She assists with supervision of subordinate personnel and delegates workload accordingly to meet daily demands. Veronica is a native El Pasoan and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Management. She is currently pursuing her MBA at The University of Texas at El Paso.
Ms Diana Rodriguez brings to the Office of the Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean several years of experience in the administrative field. A major area of responsibility is the coordination of all travel and logistics for the Vice President and other senior executive leadership and executive administrative personnel. She is also tasked with the oversight of departmental and community events and serves as the main point of contact for campus wide room reservation scheduling. Ms Rodriguez facilitates and is responsible for financial transactions related to the special events involving the Vice President's Office in addition to processing all purchasing and payment requests. Diana serves as both the department's Unit Safety Officer and department representative on the Employee Quality Service Awards Committee. She is a native El Pasoan and a graduate from Riverside High School. Academic accomplishments include a recent certification as a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
Mr. Villanueva is a new member of the Office of Vice President for the Health Affairs and Founding Dean and serves as a Student Assistant for the office. Mr. Villanueva facilitates daily operations within the Vice President's office such as entering appropriate data into the digital archiving system, scanning documents, and answering phones for both Vice President for Health Affairs Office and Finance and Administration Office. Additional duties include assisting in both organizing and surplus of inventory equipment for the office, printing documents, and making necessary copies. He is a native El Pasoan and a graduate from Stephen F. Austin High school with top 10 percent honors. He was a member of the National Honor Society and is currently attending El Paso Community College and is working towards a bachelor's degree in Mathematics at UTEP.

The Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is one of six schools that make up the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC).Texas Tech University System. The President of TTUHSC reports to the Chancellor, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the System. The Chancellor and the President are responsible to the Texas Tech University Board of Regents, which sets overall policy for the Texas Tech University System, Texas Tech University, and TTUHSC.
