Myrna Arvizo has been with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso for 16 years. Ten of those years have been in a research related area and six of the ten directly working with the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Ms. Arvizo has a Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has been certified as an IRB Manager since 2005 and as a Certified IRB Professional since 2007.

Cynthia Conroy has been with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso since 2010 and is the Executive Associate to Dr. Miller. Ms. Conroy has 10 years of academic administration and grant management experience from the University of Texas at El Paso. There she served as the Program Manager of the Environmental Science and Engineering Ph.D. Program and as Principal Investigator on over $1.4 million of various state and federal grants. Ms. Conroy has a Masters of Art in Political Science and serves on the board of directors of El Paso Drive-A-Meal, Executive Forum, the Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest and the Foundation of Women's Resources.

Lorena Medrano has served the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences for ten years. Her responsibilities include purchasing, inventory manager and various other functions of the department. Ms. Medrano provides support to the Administration of the department as well as to the Core Labs, the Centers of Excellence, the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Consulting Lab and the other occupants of the Medical Science Building I.

The Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is one of six schools that make up the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC).Texas Tech University System. The President of TTUHSC reports to the Chancellor, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the System. The Chancellor and the President are responsible to the Texas Tech University Board of Regents, which sets overall policy for the Texas Tech University System, Texas Tech University, and TTUHSC.
