Medical Toxicology Clinic
The Division of Medical Toxicology is establishing a Medical Toxicology clinic that will be fully operational by the first quarter of 2011. The clinic will serve as a center for the evaluation of work-related exposures, medical surveillance, evaluation of workplace outbreaks of illness and for follow-up of patients seen during inpatient and outpatient consultations.
Medical Toxicology Consultation
The Division of Medical Toxicology provides consultation services that deal with a wide spectrum of threatening toxicological hazards in this region. The division is responsible for managing poisoned patients through bedside and telephone consultations in El Paso's only community hospital, University Medical Center of El Paso. In addition, our telephone consultation service allows us to interface with other medical professionals from around the region to provide a high-level of expertise in diagnosing and managing the care of potentially poisoned patients.
