Our mission is to provide cancer patients in El Paso with state of the art cancer care, here at home and access to potentially groundbreaking research and clinical trials. According to Dr. Nahleh, chief of the Oncology Division, our goal is to ensure that the citizens of El Paso have a top cancer program available to them that can provide all the clinical services and research opportunities that they deserve, as well as foster education and first rate training of medical students, residents and soon fellows, as well as develop community outreach programs.
Our goals can be summarized as follows:
- Provide multidisciplinary state–of–the art specialized care for new and established cancer patients.
- Develop and conduct clinical trials.
- Establish collaborative links with appropriate TTUHSC basic science programs
- Provide educational programs and train medical students and TTUHSC, and community physicians.
The Cancer Clinical Research Core (CCRC) Facility is in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and the Paul L.
