Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation
Program History
The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at William Beaumont Army Medical Center was started in 1959. Initially only Army officers were trained in the program. However, in 1987 the orthopaedic residency programs at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Texas Tech University Regional Academic Health Center, El Paso amalgamated into a single program.
Since 1988, residents in training have included Army, Air Force, Navy, United States Public Helath Service and civilian orthopaedic surgery residents.
