Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso Pediatrics Residency Program prides itself on refining the skills of its residents through dynamic training and a superb curriculum.  The uniquely diverse patient population, the state-of-the-art Medical School and the new UMC Children's Hospital are a few of the assets that support the resident in training.  Each resident is equipped with all tools necessary to excel in their residency training and beyond.

El Paso Children’s Hospital is the only separately licensed, non-taxing, independent, 501(c) (3) not-for-profit children’s hospital in the El Paso region and the only dedicated Pediatric Hospital within a 200-mile radius of El Paso, Texas.

 El Paso Children’s Hospital elevates the quality and scope of medical care in the El Paso region by providing unmatched excellence in specialized pediatric patient care, research and education.

 El Paso Children’s Hospital partnerships with the Medical Center of the Americas, the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and University Medical Center of El Paso enhances the lives of children from the greater El Paso area and surrounding region through its innovative pediatric research and education and serves as a teaching institution.

El Paso Children’s Hospital is the largest expansion of pediatric medical services in West Texas with approximately 225,000 square feet.

El Paso Children’s Hospital features 122 private pediatric rooms, state of the art equipment, family friendly space, kids “pain free” playrooms, pediatric rehabilitation, pediatric emergency department, pediatric imaging, pediatric inpatient and outpatient infusion, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric operating rooms, pediatric critical care transport team, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.

El Paso Children’s Hospital has recruited over 25 Pediatric Subspecialists and is actively recruiting more Pediatric Subspecialists.

El Paso is a great place to live, with its temperate dry climate, and close proximity to entertainment and recreational activities Within minutes from Southern New Mexico and Northern Mexico, the city of El Paso is rich in cultural history and attractions.
