FAFSA, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, ensures that all eligible individuals can benefit from federally funded or federally guaranteed financial assistance for education beyond high school.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is available at FAFSA Website and apply online.  Make sure you have the documents required to complete the application.  The FAFSA is required for almost all financial aid programs including medicine.

As a professional student your status is independent so there is no need to submit income information for parents.
