Current Projects

  1. Examining the role of oxidative and nitrosative stress in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy.
  2. Evaluating the molecular mechanisms underlying peripheral resistance to insulin using a rat model of metabolic syndrome.
  3. Exploring the cross-talk between insulin signaling and angiotensin signaling mechanisms with specific reference to the implications for diabetes prevention.
  4. Demographics, prevalence and screening for CKD in general population to evolve preventive strategies.
