New Student Orientation
The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences offers an orientation session for incoming summer and fall students.
Orientation events are planned by the Graduate School , under the leadership of the Dean and the Director of Graduate Programs, with extensive input and participation from current graduate faculty and students.
Our goal is to present useful information on what campus services are available to you, prepare you for registration, acquaint you with what it means to study at a research university, and help you understand GSBS policies and procedures.
You are expected to arrive in time for the new student orientation. Even if you have been in a graduate school before, a GSBS orientation experience can help better prepare you for a successful program of graduate study.
Information will be presented on parking, campus resources, financial aid, on-line registration, Email access, and GSBS policies and procedures. The session will be interactive and time will be allotted for inquiries. A learning styles workshop and an HSC library tour are included.
There is no registration fee for the new student orientation.
The general graduate student orientation program does not replace any orientation and advising programs offered by your department. You should contact your department for academic advising.
