TTUHSC Identity Guidelines
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Official Identities
Our official identity system consists of three primary types of identities: our official seal and official signature, our academic coat of arms and signatures, and our spirit and athletic marks. Each has a distinct role to play within our system. By following these guidelines, you will help to ensure their proper use.

Official Seal and Signature
The official seal and official signature are the highest-ranking elements in our three-part identity system. They are reserved for use by the Office of the President of TTUHSC and are used to represent the official business of the university.
Academic Coat of Arms and Signatures
We've developed a unified academic identity for use by TTUHSC, its component schools, departments, programs, centers, institutes, divisions and offices. This identity is derived from our historic Texas Tech coat of arms. When used in conjunction with the university name or its component entities, it forms the basis of a unified system of academic signatures representing TTUHSC and it's academic, administrative and operational units

Spirit and Athletic Marks
Masked Rider and other spirit and athletic marks are an important family of symbols that define who we are.
Discontinue Use of the Original Health Sciences Center Seal, Coat of Arms, Logotype and Other Campus, Center or Unit Identities.
The original TTUHSC official seal, coat of arms and logotype are no longer used. In addition, all other academic identities representing regional academic campuses, centers or units of the TTUHSC are to be discontinued. Materials bearing them should be replaced with the new official seal, official signature or appropriate academic signature as soon as inventories expire. Mandatory use of the new system took effect August 2010. Contact your campus Office of Communications and Marketing or your school's marketing director.
