These gifts give the School of Pharmacy the ability to recruit and retain outstanding faculty members. Renowned faculty members attract other first-rate clinicians and scientists, as well as the most promising students. Both Endowed Faculty Chairs and Professorships are spendable income that may supplement the chair holder’s salary and/or provide income to support their research and teaching.
- Endowed Faculty Chair - $1,000,000
- Endowed Faculty Professorship - $500,000

The Mission of the School of Pharmacy’s department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is to create and disseminate knowledge through world-class, integrated biomedical and pharmaceutical research with the goal of increasing understanding of disease processes and developing new therapies. We are committed to innovative education of professional and graduate students to become outstanding pharmacists and scientists. To succeed in this mission, several programs are in place and are in need of financial support.
- Center for Excellence Endowment - $1,000,000:This gift would allow the school’s three research centers, the Cancer Biology Center, the Brain/Neurological Disorder Center, and the Diabetes/Vascular Biology Center, continued support into perpetuity.
- Amarillo Biomedical Research Internships Endowment (ABRI) - $1,000,000: This program fosters interest in the graduate program among promising and gifted students considering graduate studies leading to research careers in biomedical sciences. These students serve as summer interns to graduate faculty mentors and are immersed in laboratory research projects.
- Research Fund - $500,000: Support for this program enables the School of Pharmacy to conduct research in particular academic areas/topics specified by the donor and agreed upon by the Dean. Particular areas of research currently being conducted include:
- Cancer Biology
- Brain/Neurological Disorders (Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy, etc.)
- Drug formulation and delivery
- Diabetes/Vascular Biology
- Faculty Development Fund - $250,000: These gifts help support the professional and leadership development of our research faculty.
- Amarillo Biomedical Research Internships - $50,000: This is a one time gift that would support the ABRI program for one year.
- School of Pharmacy Research Endowment - $35,000: This general endowment allows the School of Pharmacy to support various research endeavors.
