Registration for the 2018 IPE Fall Symposium brought to you by the Office of Interprofessional Education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will begin in the Summer of 2018.  

This year's symposium topic is  Values and Ethics for Interprofessional Practice: The Patient's Voice in End of Life Care. The featured keynote speaker is Dr. Timothy Ihrig.

Timothy Ihrig, M.D., is an expert in palliative medicine and is nationally recognized for his expertise in continuum population health and community-based palliative care.   He advocates for an approach to healthcare that prioritizes a patient's personal values and his unparalleled success in transforming the culture of medicine prove true patient-centered care has true value by increasing the quality of individuals live's and increasing how long they live. 

Dr. Ihrig's keynote presentation, What Can We do to Die Well?, will focus on the importance of paying attention our most vulnerable population in the country.

 

The IPE Fall Symposium is a registered TTUHSC IPE Learning Activity and participating students who attend the afternoon session will receive a certificate for their attendance.
