Content Menu & Pages Overview

The Content tab is the most frequently used tab within OU Campus. It provides access to pages and the primary functions for editing pages. Most users will have the Pages drop-down menu available to them, but the functionality under the Content tab depends upon user level.

Pages List View

The Pages list view provides a directory listing of files and subdirectories as well as access to the editing functionality, and other content management actions and file operations. The Pages list view also includes page status indicators that show if a page is checked out, or if other page actions have been scheduled.

For more information see Pages List View.

Below is a sample Pages view where you can view all the files in the directory, create new pages, folders, and upload files.

Page Actions Toolbar

When in edit or preview mode whether the page is checked out to the current user or not, or when editing a page within the WYSIWYG Editor, several utilities are available at the top of the screen in the form of the Page Actions toolbar. The available actions differ depending upon page status.

For more information see Page Actions Toolbar.

Assets may be available from the Content tab depending on user permission level.

Content > Assets displays all of the assets that have been created on the website. Assets are predefined code that users can place on their page, without having to create the code themselves. The assets are available to all users and remain constant in every use. Example Asset: PDF Reader Download.

For more information about using assets see Using Assets
