TexShare Academic Databases

Big Changes to TexShare Effective 1 July 2006
TexShare is providing a new set of Core Databases for fiscal year 2007 (July 2006 through June 2007). Several databases have been dropped, while many, many more have been added, particularly databases offered by EBSCOhost Research Databases.

It will take several weeks to update the TTUHSC Libraries TexShare Academic Databases Web page. In the meantime, you may continue to use the links listed below. The vast majority should still work from on or off campus. In addition, a list of current TexShare Core Databases URLs, including all of the new databases, is available here:

Bear in mind that most URLs on the new TexShare Core Databases list require IP-authentication and thus will not work from off-campus locations.

Remember, the vast majority of the links listed below should still work from on or off campus.

TexShare is a cooperative program designed to improve service to Texans. Members include public libraries that belong to the regional library systems, academic libraries, and libraries of clinical medicine. TexShare enables libraries to offer a broader range of materials and services than any single library can provide for its constituents.

About the TexSelect Databases: TexShare has contracted with vendors to provide a number of specialized databases and journals. TexShare member libraries are eligible to subscribe to these databases at negotiated subscription fees.

The TTUHSC Libraries of the Health Sciences have purchased access to the TexSelect databases identified as such in the lists below.
