The Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is home to the LWBIWH El Paso and is a community wide effort to improve women's health through research and education on the U.S./Mexican border. The Paul L. Foster School of Medicine and Perry School of Nursing are collaborative partners. Thomason General Hospital is a community partner in clinical and community education in women's health.
Current research projects include the study of low blood level, breast carcinogenesis, and chronic kidney disease. TTUHSC El Paso will fill a niche in border and Hispanic health by leading research that will have a huge impact on the nation and Hispanic population.
