Laura W. Bush Institute at Permian Basin
Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health Permian Basin, established in 2007, is located in the School of Medicine in Odessa. The TTUHSC Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health were founding partners of the LWBIWH at Permian Basin.
The Research efforts are rapidly expanding in women’s health including seed grants that were funded in 2007 & 2008. Community partners include:

- Leslie Chupp, M.D., FACOG, Associate Professor was named Regional Director of the LWBIWH
LWBIWH Permian Basin will be moving to the new Jenna Welch Women’s Center of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health in Midland in the fall of 2009. The Center is named for Jenna Welch, and is dedicated to women throughout West Texas with prevention and early detection of women’s health symptoms and diseases.
LWBIWH is housed in the Texas Tech Health Center, 701 W. 5th, Odessa, Texas. Office hours are 8:00 – 5:00 Monday – Friday, and the phone number is 432-335-5200.
