Application Process for the Residency Program

  1. The program receives applications solely through the Electronic Application Service (ERAS) provided by the Association of American Medical Colleges. You can contact your Student Affairs Office for more information on how to apply through ERAS. For more information about ERAS, go to: AAMC
  2. We require Curriculum Vitae, personal statement, three letters of reference and dean's letter of reference, USMLE scores and medical school transcript, all of which can be transmitted by ERAS. If you are an international medical graduate, contact the Educational Commission for Foreign Graduates (ECFMG) for their application materials and requirements. Once we receive your completed ERAS application, we will contact you to set an interview date.
  3. Your interview at TTUHSC affords the best opportunity for us to show you our program and for you to meet our residents and faculty and see our facilities. The interview will allow you to become acquainted with our philosophy and practice for resident and medical student education and for you to determine if this philosophy meets your needs.

For more information please visit the GME website at:  ACGME

You may also visit the Texas Medical Board website for additional information at: TMB

We try to provide a comprehensive yet enjoyable Interview Day. You will meet with our faculty, interact with current residents and get to know our community. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about our program. Dinner will be provided the night before the interview day.

At this time we are unable to provide any accommodations for the interview day.

We look forward to meeting you!
