Laura W. Bush pledges continued support for women's health
Former first lady Laura W. Bush recently made a keynote presentation at a luncheon given in her honor by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health at at The Ritz-Carlton in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Laura Bush discussed her post White House plans as they relate to women’s health issues. Joining Mrs. Bush to speak about advocacy efforts in women’s health were Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker, founding chair of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Elizabeth G. Nabel, M.D., director of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and The Heart Truth campaign.
