Covenant Health System, TTUHSC collaborate on the region's first epilepsy monitoring unit
Covenant Health System and TTUHSC recently collaborated to open the region's first epilepsy monitoring unit. The The Jay and Virginia Crofoot Epilepsy Monitoring Unit was made possible by the Crofoot Family Endowment in Epilepsy at TTUHSC, and is located at Covenant Medical Center's 19th Street campus.
The new epilepsy unit brings specialized neurological care through monitoring and effective surgical treatments, according to Covenant Health System. The unit offers individualized patient care for adults and children with state-of-the-art epilepsy monitoring features.
The Jay and Virginia Crofoot Epilepsy Monitoring Unit will allow South Plains patients local access to the best experts and tehniques for determining the source of seizures, according to Lori Rhodes, R.EEG T., CNIM, manager of the unit.
