Fertilization, perpetuation of species and life
President John C. Baldwin, M.D., made remarks at the 20th annual TTUHSC Student Research Week Closing and Awards Presentation March 14, 2008. Throughout the week, top researchers from across the country spoke about topics including genomics, proteomics, signal transduction, cell biology drug development and embryology.
Baldwin also commended the level of participation and acknowledged the level of work conducted by the Graduate Student Association and the event committee.
“You showed exemplary enthusiasm and ability in the pursuit of discovery,” he said.
The event culminated with announcement of winners in the poster presentations (listed below).
“I was impressed not only with the quality of posters but with the ability of defense of those presenting their work,” Baldwin said. “This was certainly a legitimate and encouraging program.”
