Dentino pulls up the Mittemeyer chair

Andrew Dentino, M.D., a professor in the departments of Family and Community Medicine and Internal Medicine in the TTUHSC School of Medicine, recently received the University Medical Center Bernhard T. Mittemeyer, M.D., Endowed Chair in Geriatric Medicine. The chair is named for Mittemeyer, a long-time TTUHSC leader and professor in the Department of Urology at the School of Medicine.

Dentino received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. His residency in internal medicine and psychiatry was accomplished at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, W. Va. Dentino's fellowship focused on geriatric medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. A member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Lubbock-Garza-Crosby County Medical Society, Dentino brings his years of health care experience to this new post.
